Master Workshops in African Drumming Drumming Circle - Tof Tof

Once a year we host a Djembe Master from West Africa
The Master workshop is a key experience for Djembe players and gives direct contact with the culture and values and where they originated.

The Djembe Master gives inspiration, teaches new rhythms and connects with the culture, through playing together we advance and expand playing skills.

The Master class is divided into levels to fit the students playing level and skills.

The master we follow is Baba Toure, originally from Ivory Coast
Students who progress and are interested are invited to come and visit Baba at his compuond at Abobo.

There they can participate in West African drumming and dance workshops with the Master and local artists of his band “bendia”.

The best time to go is February and April and August. In April there is also a music festival “Massa” which Baba organises where you can witness performances of Malinke musicians. This way you can specialize, experience the Malinke culture in its full power and develop in the field.
